Unilever Planning to Reach 100% Renewable Energy by 2030

Unilever, the market-leading consumer goods company who's products are used by 2.5 billion people worldwide every day, is planning to convert 100% of energy to renewable sources by 2030. In an effort to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change, their Sustainable Living Plan also pledges to source all electricity to renewable sources by 2020.

Launched in 2010, Unilever's Sustainable Living Plan acts as a blueprint for sustainable business. Unilever is home to household brands like Axe, Ben & Jerry's, Cornetto, Klondike, and more - and they've made it their mission to dissimilate the stigma that exists between massive corporation and dirty production. Just last year, Unilever Japan became the first Unilever business to be completely powered by 100% renewable energy, so now they're taking the fight to their home front, the UK.

Unilever hopes their call to action to businesses and consumers encourages them to join in on the fight against climate change.
